The members of FresQ grow their products in modern greenhouses. The companies meet the high demands of today's society. Think of techniques for the use of water, fertilizer, energy, waste and reducing pesticides to a minimum or to use recycling material. 

The cultivation takes place yearround. During the wintermonths production is limited for some of the products. To provide product yearround, a select group of crop producers use growth lights during the winter. These lamps ensure that plants get enough light. The energy needed is being generated by Combined Heat and Power (CHP plants). The heat and CO2 released by this production the grower uses in the greenhouse for the production of the plants. This way he exploit the optimal energy with the possibility to the grid feed-in.

Integrated production is very imported to the FresQ-growers. This means that small creatures fighting other pests in the crop, so there will be a biological balance in the greenhouses. Both the Dutch and English, Spanish and Portuguese planting sites produce in the same manner. This is the Dutch approach to the high standard. The companies are all in possession of quality systems; GLOBALGAP standard and QS.
